Whilst carrying out the major restoration of the Chancel Roof in 2013 it has been decided to place and bury two time capsules with items inside, representing our church and school in 2013, into the building works. We will include one time capsule put together by children from the Anthony Curton Church of England Primary School and another put together by members of the church congregation.

The last time that the Chancel Roof was repaired was approximately 200 years ago. We hope that when our descendants come to repair the roof again, hopefully not before another 200 years have passed, they will enjoy discovering more about us and our lives and community in 2013.

This photograph shows children from the school handing over their time capsule to Churchwarden Michael Anstey on Maundy Thursday - 28th March 2013.

These pictures show murals by children from the local Anthony Curton C of E Primary school, on the screen put up by the builders to protect the church whilst major replacement work on the chancel roof was undertaken in 2012/13. Also included are the children meeting our new Parish Priest, Rev Neil Batcock, when he paid us a visit in March, prior to him joining us in June 2013.
